If you can help with setup (9:00 AM) or clean-up afterwards, that would be great. There will be a joint choir that will rehearse at 9:30 AM.

    “Lead Through Story” with Daniel Pryfogle. There will be a retreat session from 10 to 11 AM, followed by a 15 minute break and then closing worship. Our theme for the worship time is from Acts 4:20, where Peter proclaims to the religious authorities, “for we cannot help but tell a story about what we have seen and heard.”

This BBC film explores our mysteriously interconnected world: why does the lynx need a caterpillar, why does the tree need the fish and why does truffle fungus need flying squirrels? Connections like these form the planet’s great ecosystems and are what keep all of life thriving into the future. As we close out Earth Month celebrating the Divine in every corner of creation may we watch, learn, and discuss together the magically interconnected lungs of Earth, the forests! Come hungry for popcorn.

Doty MD. Growing up in the high desert of California, Jim Doty was poor, with an alcoholic father and a mother chronically depressed and paralyzed by a stroke. Today he is the director of the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at Stanford University. Brown Bag Lunch (beverage will be provided).
