Over the three Sundays in June – 8, 15 and 22 – Corinna Guerrero will address each of the above concepts: We start off with a little church history, but end in a call to advocacy. We hope youʹll join us.

Corinna GuerreroCorinna Guerrero graduated cum laude from San José State University (SJSU) with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Comparative Religious Studies. Building upon her ancient and modern language training at SJSU, Corinna moved first to Berkeley, California to study at the Graduate Theological Union (GTU) then second, and more briefly, to Jerusalem, Israel to study at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. Her work at both institutions earned her a Master of Arts in Biblical Languages degree with a concentration in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Literature from the Graduate Theological Union. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Biblical Studies with specializations in Hebrew Bible/Old Testament Literature and Literary Theory at the GTU.

Her current research areas include: Deuteronomistic History, the book of Judges, biblical literature of the post‐Exilic era, theories of character formation, minor character studies, trauma and atrocity/torture studies, and contextual hermeneutics.

Corinna is currently Adjunct Professor of Biblical Studies at American Baptist Seminary of the West in Berkeley, California and Lecturer at Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, California. In addition to her work with undergraduate and graduate students, Corinna works with various Bay Area churches teaching and giving talks on the Bible and Scripture, Old Testament, and biblical languages.
