Pastor Gregory Says… (5/25/16)

Gregory StevensOn Thursday I leave for Lightning in a Bottle, a 4-day festival centered on art, music, consciousness, and social transformation in Bradley, CA. I am most excited about the Lucent Temple of Consciousness, in the heart of the festival, which is a transformational haven, an unveiling of the world’s mystery schools, featuring renowned visionaries, wisdom keepers, master teachers, healers, activists, performers, and musicians. I have two personal colleagues that will be presenting Pema Khandro, a Tibetan Buddhist teacher, humanitarian and scholar specializing in the philosophy and practice of Tibet’s Buddhist Yogis. Her mission is to make in-depth Buddhist education accessible, to open the doorway to the great treasures of philosophy, meditation, medicine and art contained in Tibetan Buddhism. I am very much looking forward to her sessions. I am also looking forward to engaging the work of Charles Eisenstein, a writer focusing on themes of human culture and identity. He is the author of several books, most recently “Sacred Economics” and “The More Beautiful World our Hearts Know is Possible.” His background includes a degree in mathematics and philosophy from Yale, a decade in Taiwan as a translator, and stints as a college instructor, a yoga teacher, and a construction worker. These friends and teachers bring a wealth of knowledge in realms of knowing that I have yet to explore – this is going to be an incredible experience and I cannot wait to soak every moment in!
